You are Dead

Many people believe that they are alive because they exist in the body and can eat, drink, breathe, move, excrete and respond to external stimuli.

Not Bodies
We have been made to believe that that we are bodies. Do not be deceived. Our bodies are merely the temporal abodes of our real essence (our souls) . The body is the substance that gives us the ability to exist in time (It is our expression in time) and when our sojourn in time ends, we exit our bodies and assume our eternal state (our souls)

Dead without Christ

"And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Eph 2:1" 


Do not be fooled. The fact that an individual exists in body form does not mean that they are alive. Many of the people in the world today who are believed to be healthy because they have the healthiest and strongest bodies and hearts  (by men's standards) are dead.


"He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. 1 John 5:12"

 "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. John 17:3"

 
They do not know (have correspondence with) Jesus and He does not live inside them and as such, they have no idea about the purpose of their existence or their eternal destiny. Like dead men, they have eyes that cannot see, ears that cannot hear and a heart that cannot discern the true state of things.  Like dead men who are never hungry or thirsty, they have no desire for the bread and drink that can give them life.

"Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.John 6:53" 


How did we die?
In the beginning was God and this God was Truth and this Truth was Mind and this Mind was Word (we speak words to express what is in our minds i.e our thoughts to others) and this Word was  Light and this Light was Spirit and this Spirit was Life.
 
 "He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. 1 John 4:8" 

Love
Out of love, (God's love is noble because it is founded on a selfless desire)  this Life decided to create other beings (beings different from Himself) to share in His Life (meaning the one life was meant to be the unifying factor of God's creation) so the Word (from the Mind) created the universe in correspondence with His (the Mind's) nature

Note that the Word is the perfect reflection and expression of the Mind and that is why He is called the Son of God because He comes / is begotten from the Mind of God and is therefore the perfect expression of Mind, the same way our words perfectly reflect and interprete our thoughts to others and also the way a son is an expression of his father's seed (sperm, life) and because of this, shares common characteristics with his father.


The Word Created and Molded the World to reflect the life of the Father

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.The same was in the beginning with God.All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. John 1:1-3"

"Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.1 Pet 1:23"

 The Perfect expression of God expressed the Mind of God to creation in a language they could comprehend  i.e The Word makes God comprehensible and thus makes creation to live out and understand God. This means that the Word designed His creation to manifest God's Light (understanding) and Life in varying degrees (varying levels of awareness e.g a man has a higher consciousness and intelligence than a plant)

Separation

But after a while, an evil desire (it is evil because it arose from selfish love) arose within the heart of creation, a desire to cut of from God (Life) and experience self. This desire (It was founded on a lie because it is contrary to the Truth) evolved into a mind and this mind evolved into a  word (the word is the expression of the mind in mankind) and this word evolved into a spirit and this spirit evolved into a pseudo light (it is really darkness because it blinds people from seeing the Truth) and this pseudo light evolved into a pseudo life (It is really death because it cuts people off from true life) and this pseudo life is satan.

And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 2 Cor 11:14

Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; Heb 2:14


Note: It is a pseudo light and life because it 'fell' from the original Light and Life, the same way that a ray of light that emerges from the central sun in the sky retains a tiny essence of the sun (its source).

This Pseudo life 'killed' and ejected the Life of God from the heart of humanity and has been been operating and animating creation since it's fall from the original Life and because it is a fallen mind and life, those who it operates in are also fallen from the state that they are supposed to occupy in God: They are alienated from Light and Life i.e. They are dead and in darkness.
"Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. ...John 8:44

Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:"Eph 4:18
 

"But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. Gen 2:17"

The Deceiver

 This pseudo life is called the deceiver because it deceives humanity into thinking that it is the real life. It makes them to think that there is no life beside itself.  It blinds them from seeing that true life can only be accessed in God.

"And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world:......"
"......And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat. Gen 3:13"




Nearness and Farness from God
"But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.John 3:20"

"For, lo, they that are far from thee shall perish: thou hast destroyed all them that go a whoring from thee.But it is good for me to draw near to God:.... Psalm 73:27-28"

 
The nearer you are to God, The nearer you are to life and the nearer you are to life, the more you would desire God and have a genuine love for Jesus and His Church.

 "He that loveth not knoweth not God;....1 John 4:8"

When the Light is enthroned in your heart, you would have a perfect understanding of God's will for your life and you would desire to obey Him and submit to His cross at all times.  You would be very willing to give up your pseudo life in order to inherit eternal life.

"Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. Matt 16:24-25"

 

When you have the Mind of God, you would be mindful of the things of God, not the things of men. Your focus would be on the eternal, not on the temporal.

 
 

"While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.2 Cor 4:18"

 





The further you are from Life, the nearer you are to death, and the nearer you are to death, the more you would hate God. When you are far away from Life,  you would hate Jesus,  you would despise His will for your life, you would hate his cross and his Church,  you would reject the need for His Spirit and you would desire a life independent of His restrictions. (Just like the devil who hated and murdered Life and Light)


 "Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.1 John 3:15"

"For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the Lord:They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof. Prov 1:29-30"

When you have the mind of satan, you would be mindful of the things of men. Your focus would be on yourself (your consciousness and the spirit within you) and the things of time.

"And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.Luke 16:15"

"But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.Matt 16:23" 


Seek God
As a result of the 'falling away', we have been banished from God's presence. The satanic spirit animates us (is our earthly life) instead of God's Spirit and if we choose to remain in this state, when our earthly bodies are dissolved, our souls (our eternal selves) would be eternally cut of from God's Spirit and the more we look to the spirit inside us (instead of the one outside us), the more our condition (our death i.e farness from life) would continue to worsen.

"But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. 2 Tim 3:13"
The only way to return to Life is to seek Jesus. He is the Life of God personified (i.e in a form we can comprehend) and the fullness and nature of God can only be accessed in Him.

"Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: Col 1:15"

"For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.Col 2:9"



Do not look for Him inside of you. He used to be there but we quenched, ejected and murdered Him when we decided to separate from God.

"But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you; And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.Acts 3:14-15"

He has risen now and He lives outside your heart (where you kept Him) and He is there knocking everyday and hoping that you would come to your senses and open it so He can enter in and change you to become what you were created to be and empower you to live forever.
 

"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me Rev 3:20"

 

 "Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.John 14:23"

 

 
When you let Him in, allow Him to grow and increase in you. Do not let your self will and desire quench and eject His Spirit. Let Him grow and increase until he completely quenches and destroys the 'life' in you and is enthroned in the temple of your heart.


"He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. John 12:25"


 Sin (seeking your own will, desires and life) quenches the Life of God and sends the Lord out of the temple and the Lord leaving the temple signals two things: death and destruction.


"Quench not the Spirit.1 Thess 5:19"

"And as he went out of the temple,one of his disciples saith unto him, Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here!And Jesus answering said unto him, Seest thou these great buildings? there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down Mark 13:1-2."

 Seek the Lord today and inherit true Life. Eat the Lord (partake of His Life) today and Live. Do not be like many of your contemporaries (and those before you) who prefer to feast on the bread of death and perdition than on the Bread of life.

"For of necessity he must release one unto them at the feast.)And they cried out all at once, saying, Away with this man, and release unto us Barabbas[1]: (Who for a certain sedition made in the city, and for murder, was cast into prison.) Luke 23:17-19"
"And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.Gen 3:6"

 

[1]The Name Barrabas  translates to Son of the father in English.  Barrabas symbolizes the son (nature) that is born when we imbibe the satanic Spirit (The Father of our evil consciousness).  Jesus is the Son of God. He is the Son that is born in our hearts when we imbibe God's Spirit (The Father of our Righteous nature).
